Biography

Daniela Loi Artist was born in Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia, Italy, in 1965.

She began painting since childhood, and later she became keen on painting and fashion.

She attended the studio of the Painter and Sculptor Michal Stupka from Prague, predeceased artist of great worth.

Her course of studies and professional experience followed the natural creative vocation.
The artworks of the latest year, are fruit of the research on the mythological figure of the Mother Goddess.

After the High School she studied to become a Fashion Designer of High Fashion.
From 1988 to 1990 she worked as Fashion Designer, Knitwear and Knitwear Computer Graphic Designer, for national and international brands.

In 1990 she won a scholarship of the Government of the Autonoumos Region of Sardinia for a Master in Fashion. In 1991 she qualified the Master Diploma in Fashion Design at Domus Academy in Milan, Italy, and exhibited her collection of yarns, wovens and dresses, inspired by nature and stone of the archaic and sacred Sardinia, subject of the thesis. Among these she also designed the “Granite” fabric, produced with the collaboration of Mr. Giovanni Bonotto, owner of “Lanificio Bonotto”, woollen textile factory in Vicenza, Italy. She was mentioned in a review published in the daily newspaper “La Repubblica”.

In 2010 she had the first Solo Exhibition, at the Oldrado da Ponte Gallery, in Lodi, Italy .

The fashion experience :

From 1992 to 1995 she worked as Fashion and Knitwear Designer, for international brands like Benetton Group, Prènatal, LineaPiù and others.
From 1993 to 2007 she was the owner and store manager of Daniela Loi’s multi-brand High Fashion Atelier of Wedding and Ceremony dresses, in Cagliari, where designed and produced exclusive models of dresses and accessories. At the same time her studio was also a shop of Italian and international brands of High Fashion Wedding, Ceremony and Evening dresses.
In 1997 she worked as Costume Designer for the “La Pola” Theatre Company, in Cagliari, Italy .
In 2006 she showed her High Fashion Wedding Dresses Collection 2007 in Barcelona, at the International Bridal Exhibition ” Barcelona Bridal Week” – “Noviaespana” – Spain .
She taught Drawing and Fashion Design from 2007 to 2008.
